It’s hard to feel at ease when your brain’s always racing.
It’s hard to pause when life won’t stand still.
You’ve tried meditation, journaling, even that app everyone’s raving about… …but nothing sticks. What you need is…
A POCKETFUL OF PRESENCE.
Mindfulness, self-compassion, and quiet support — that fits into your real life… and your pocket.
Your mind is NEVER silent…
There’s a constant ticker tape of thoughts running through your head 24/7…
Lists of things you need to get done, and the order in which to do them (for maximum efficiency, of course).
Ideas that spark out of nowhere — from a post you read, or something you watched or a conversation you had two and a half years ago- ideas that then demand to be either acted on right away or filed away in the appropriate cabinet in your brain to be re-visited when you have a moment’s leisure but you never do, do you?
And then there’s the constant analysis of what you said and did, what you should have said and done, what it says about you that you said and did the things you said!
It’s exhausting, isn’t it? To have an inner voice that is ALWAYS criticising you no matter what you do, or how much, or how well you do it?
Or may be, your inner voice is NOT overtly critical. Mine wasn’t. But she constantly came up ways for me to do things differently, to do them better, to take more responsibility than is humanly possible, until it seemed like…
…nothing I ever did was quite right.
I lived with a constant sense of wrongness. Yet I felt dependent on this inner voice. I thought she was the voice of my conscience.
She was the one who kept me good and moral and worthy of existing.
So I not only kept her around, but I cultivated my relationship with her until…
I felt fragmented and broken and just wrong inside, no matter what I did or said…
My brand of mindfulness isn’t the kind you’ll find on social media —
pastel pink promises of 24/7 bliss, if only you breathe your way through your worry and grief and rage.
Nor is the sort where you go away on a silent retreat (although I have the deepest reverence for Vipassana centres)
No. My version is gritty & real, both joyful & messy.
It toggles between ‘on-the-cushion’ mindfulness practice, &‘off-the-cushion’ in-the-moment mindfulness, when you want to scream at your toddler for spilling milk yet again, or your spouse for leaving wet towels on the bed. And don’t. Or do, but you navigate the yelling and guilt with compassion.
It’s the sort of mindfulness that meets what is, and who are you, right here – in mess and mundane-ness of life.
It’s built for people too busy to breathe… like I am as a mother and surgeon, writer and artist.
And it’s meant to fit seamlessly into your life … no matter what that looks like.
The 3 pillars of mindfulness…
-Mindfulness begins with learning to paying attention using the anchors of breath and body, movement and sensation… And using that awareness to shine a spotlight on the unconscious beliefs and behaviour patterns that keep us stuck and unhappy.
-The way out is through… We don’t bypass emotions here; we welcome them and befriend them so that you will no longer feel overwhelmed by emotions and instead, use the information and energy they bring.
-And then there’s self compassion…. the antidote for shame and the secret to sustainable change.
This is the ABC framework of mindfulness…
and it forms the foundation of A Pocketful of Presence.
(Since this framework is HOW mindfulness changed my life, it is basis of ALL the mindfulness teaching I do!)
This is why a Pocketful of Presence may be the missing piece for you…
It’s a 1:1 asynchronous container — a private Telegram (or Facebook) group with just two people:
✨ you and me ✨
This space is where we sit together and process what arises at the intersection of mindfulness and the messiness of life.
Each week, I’ll drop a guided audio practice rooted in the ABC framework — and shaped around what your life looks like that week.
I’m there to help you:
– Modify the practice so it suits you and your nervous system
– Stay with the practice when resistance shows up (and yes, even avoiding it is part of the practice)
– Unpack whatever surfaces as you become more mindful — the thoughts, the habits, the stories and stuck patterns
Because this is what often gets missed:
Mindfulness begins with the breath, the body, the senses, the movement…
But it always leads you into your inner world. And that is what needs to be held.
This is where I come in.
I bring my training in trauma-aware mindfulness and somatic trauma care, alongside a decade of personal practice…
-to help you stay present with whatever comes up,
-gently orient you toward self-compassion, and -walk beside you as you learn to meet yourself with kindness, not judgment.
This isn’t a self-paced course, or a library of meditations that leaves you to navigate both the practice and everything it stirs up on your own.
This isn’t speed-coaching, where you’re expected to cram it all into an hour or keep up with breathless voice notes.
This is quiet support —through intentional, thoughtful messaging, with responses within 24 hours (often sooner) — to give your insights room to bloom, and your new patterns time to take root.
It’s support that meets you where you are. Right when you need it.
And it’s always within reach —right in your pocket. INVESTMENT : $111/month (or Rs.7500/month if you reside in India)

And let’s begin.
Hi! I’m Nimisha…
I’m a surgeon, mother, artist, and trauma-informed mindfulness teacher.
I’ve spent over a decade exploring what it means to show up for life — gently, honestly, and with presence — even in the midst of overwhelm.
Through the rhythms of motherhood and medicine, grief and growth, I’ve learned that mindfulness isn’t about escaping your life — it’s about coming home to it.
I created A Pocketful of Presence to offer the kind of support I wish I had when I was doing it all alone.
It’s real, responsive, and rooted in care. Just like you deserve.
